Overview:

The Managed MultiPlant Account Support Specialist provides overall commercial support for “Managed” MultiPlant Accounts (MPAs).  This role will cover price management, bid management and enterprise-wide sales support following the processes and procedures utilized by the Corporate Account Commercial team.

Responsibilities:

Price Management

The Managed MPA Support Specialist is responsible for maintaining the integrity of pricing updates for Managed MPAs through day-to-day administration of Univar’s Pricing Policies and Procedures. Collaborate with the HQ SAM, local Sales Support Specialists, and LCD/BCD sellers to provide clear, concise and accurate responses to pricing. 

Bid Management

Bid Management Operations (BMO) follows an organized process for managing responses to customer bid requests also known as Request for Proposal (RFP), Request for Quotation (RFQ) and Request for Information (RFI).  The Managed MPA Support Specialist is responsible for leading the bid process for Managed MultiPlant Accounts.  Consistent with the Bid Management Operations bid process, the MMPA Support Specialist supports HQ SAMs by managing the intake, internal communication, and compilation of bid information as well as the preparation of the response to the customer.  The primary objective is to grow business by engaging key internal stakeholders.

Enterprise-wide Sales Support

The MMPA Support Specialist will partner with the HQ SAM in developing profitable sales to assigned MultiPlant Accounts.  Will also act as a liaison between internal and external customers and suppliers regarding communications, administrative, logistical, and sales functions.

Education/Experience/Training Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, or the equivalent in related work experience

  • Three or more years’ experience in chemical distribution with broad product familiarity and general knowledge of sales, operations, procurement and customer service functions.

Specialized Knowledge/Skills Needed:

  • Demonstrates strong analytical, organizational, prioritization, and time management skills with the capacity to handle diverse and significant requirements in high pressure and time sensitive situations

  • Demonstrates strong oral and written communication skills for interface and collaboration with all organizational levels

  • Demonstrates ability to work independently with minimal supervision

  • Demonstrates proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

  • Ability to navigate most Univar systems (SAP, UVX, Tableau, Salesforce.com, Universe, etc.)
